Coptic Street
A Georgian house town house and a glass-roofed former dairy in the courtyard behind form the home and studio of a leading British painter. CB Architects renovated the house, created a link building to the studio and installed a lift for full access throughout the complex. The old roof was removed and an urban roof terrace installed. The archives under the studio were converted in to a guest apartment. The client introduced a vivid colour scheme for the interiors that expanded or shrank the spaces according to the effect he wanted, his finishing touch to the transformation of a unique London dwelling.
